Leonardo Severini on an Italian Sherlock Holmes series
Leonardo Severini (1921-1976) was an Italian actor and voice actor who dubbed Kermit the Frog on Sesamo Apriti, the first Italian dub of Sesame Street.
Severini played character roles in Italian films, including the Great Khan in Samson and the 7 Miracles of the World and parts in the horror films Horror Castle and Autopsy. On television, he played the butler Ames in a three-part 1968 Sherlock Holmes adaptation of The Valley of Fear and appeared in adaptations of Rebecca and The Buddenbrooks.
In dubbing, Severini was the Italian voice of Fred Flintstone on The Flintstones and also dubbed Dennis Price in Theatre of Blood, Strother Martin in The Wild Bunch, and Forrest Tucker on F Troop.
