"Lessons in Love" is a brief operatic song that Placido Flamingo sings in Sesame Street Episode 2415.
At the Fix-It Shop, Placido witnesses Luis giving a casual goodbye to Maria before getting their lunch. He becomes disgusted, explaining that in an opera one would show their affection differently. He shows how he would do it by clasping Maria's hand, looking into her eyes, and singing passionately about retrieving a grilled cheese sandwich (with tomato) for her. His performance is so moving that he finds himself actually falling in love with Maria, which she does not reciprocate.
