"Let's Go Driving" is a Sesame Street song about the sounds the car makes, including the motor, the horn, the windshield wipers and the people singing.

Versions

• The song first appeared as an audio track on the 1982 album Sesame Street Sing-Along!, sung by Gordon, Susan, Bert and Ernie as they drive out to Uncle Louie's farm. This version was released on several later albums.

• The song was produced as an insert for Sesame Street in the mid-1980s, using the same backing track as the album version. It was sung by an Anything Muppet family driving in a convertible. Performers for this version include Martin P. Robinson as the father, Pam Arciero as the daughter, Kevin Clash as the son, and Ivy Austin voicing the mother.

• In Episode 3952, the song is performed on the stoop of 123 Sesame Street by Gabi, Big Bird, Maria, Telly, Lulu, Alan and the Kids.

• In Episode 4011, Baby Bear sang the song while riding the Zoemobile through an animated landscape.

• In Episode 4030, the song plays on Oscar the Grouch's car radio whenever he turns the radio on, in an attempt to get Telly Monster to accompany him on a road trip whenever Telly tries to get out of it.

• In Episode 4031, Telly and Baby Bear sing the song on a karaoke machine.

• in Episode 4072, Gabi performs the song on the stoop with Elmo and Zoe, singing as chickens and ducks.

• Alan, Zoe, Telly and Rosita perform the song in Episode 4146.

• Elmo, his dad, and Abby Cadabby sing the song during their car ride in the video Elmo's Travel Songs and Games.

• Elmo and Taye Diggs perform the song in a Season 45 insert as they drive through an imaginary environment. (First: Episode 4502)
