"Let Me In" is a novelty song in which the singer wants to be let into a boisterous sounding party.
A recording of the song by Red Ingle and the Natrual Seven was used on Sam and Friends on December 23, 1958, and again on February 8, 1960.[1]
A lower key version was performed on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (December 31, 1965) by a live-hand Muppet drunk (performed by Jim Henson). The beleaguered soul bangs on a rooftop door (before party host Skitch Henderson does indeed let him in).
