Linda Mendoza is a director whose career in television began in the mid 1980s in roles as assistant and associate directors. By the early 1990s, she began as a full-fledged director on various television shows and events.
Mendoza was brought on as a director for Sesame Street beginning in the 49th season.
Her many other credits include directing episodes of The Chris Rock Show, The Bernie Mac Show, MADtv, Gilmore Girls, Ugly Betty (for which she won an ALMA Award), Scrubs, JONAS, So Random!, 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Good Place, The Tick, Black-ish, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She also directed for television the Celebrating the Music of Paul Simon event, which featured a pre-taped performance by Elmo and Grover.
