Little Bird (animated)

Little Bird has appeared in animated form limitedly over the years.

One early appearance involved inserting the character into the 1983 storybook Everyone Makes Mistakes when it was adapted as an animated featurette for the 1985 home video release Three Sesame Street Stories. Because Little Bird didn't originally feature in that book, artwork from Big Bird and Little Bird's Big & Little Book was merged into the narrative to create a subplot in which Little Bird relates the events to the viewer while also playing conscience for Big Bird's mishaps. Fran Brill provided voiceover for the eight minute short.

For the 1990 video game Big Bird's Hide & Speak, Little Bird serves as a playable character who flies to the windows of 123 Sesame Street in order to find various residents of Sesame Street.

Little Bird later made animated cameos in the opening title sequences from The Magical Wand Chase and When You Wish Upon a Pickle.
