Little Sammy Pottle appears in the Sesame Street game show sketch, "What Is It?"
Hailing from Sea View, Kansas, Little Sammy brings into the studio a red rubber ball. Panelists Grover, Biff and Prairie Dawn, all blindfolded, must guess what the object is from Guy Smiley's clues. Since the panelists are stumped, Little Sammy goes home with the grand prize - a cow (to his dismay).
He is named after Sesame Street composer Sam Pottle. In the original script for the sketch, he was instead named Johnny Jumble.
