Lois "Tippi" Fortune-Maginley (March 16, 1946 - January 2, 2024[1]) was a producer for Children's Television Workshop. Among her credits is the Filipino Sesame Street co-production Sesame, for which she was Senior Producer.
Born in New York City, Fortune was previously an intern at CTW. In 1971, she had auditioned for a job as a writer on Sesame Street, competing with another prospective writer, Norman Stiles; Stiles ultimately won.[2]
Fortune was also the executive producer of Pinwheel, a puppet-driven children's series that formed the genesis of Nickelodeon.
