Look was a bi-weekly magazine published from 1937 to 1971 with a greater significance of photographs than articles.
Appearances[]
- The November 18, 1969 issue featured an article entitled "Cooney and the Kids: Here's TV Your Child Can Watch" that focused on Joan Ganz Cooney and the creation of Sesame Street (which premiered eight days prior to the issue's publication date). Text and photographs by Charlotte Brooks.
- In the September 22, 1970 issue, "The Secrets of Sesame Street," written by Betty Baer covers the show's initial success, criticism, and the changes in store for its second year (including, most notably, Kermit the Frog's apparent departure). Photographs, taken by Charlotte Brooks, are in black and white with the exception of a photo of Big Bird (pictured) featured on the issue's gatefold cover.
- According to Wikipedia, Hachette Filipacchi Médias brought the magazine back for one year as Look, The Picture Newsmagazine in 1979. Miss Piggy appeared on the cover of one such issue.
