Written by Joe Raposo

"Look a Little Closer" is a Sesame Street song used in a series of recurring film segments that feature close ups of an object. The song encourages viewers to guess what the object is.

The initial segments feature vocals by the song's composer Joe Raposo, and use repurposed footage from films shown during the first season (originally scored by Peter Schickele). Later installments, first shown during season 21, feature Bob McGrath performing the song, as well as audio of children identifying the object.
