Lourdes López (b. 1958) is a ballet dancer who performed with the New York City Ballet from 1974 until her retirement in 1997. In her last year, she appeared in several Sesame Street inserts, usually paired with Jock Soto.
López worked with famed choreographer Georges Balanchine early in her career. She became a principal ballerina for the City Ballet in 1984, gaining notice as the title character in Firebird. López frequently performed in The Nutcracker, as the Sugar Plum Fairy or Dew Drop, and danced the "Hot Chocolate" number in the 1993 film version.
