"M-O-T-H-E-R (A Word That Means the World to Me)" is a musical tribute to motherhood, wherein the lyrics list various positive attributes that spell out the word "mother." The song has been recorded by such artists as Henry Burr and Burl Ives.
The song was adapted for The Jimmy Dean Show on October 1, 1965. As sung by Rowlf the Dog and Jimmy Dean, they instead spell out the word "COUSIN" (referring to the secret agency Rowlf works for). They do, however, conclude the song with its original title lyric, as Rowlf notes it's the only way to ensure applause.
