Madballs are a series of toys created by American Greetings in the 1980s as foam balls with faces and names that incorporated gross-out humor. The toys spun off into a series of comic books, cartoons, and video games.

- The Madballs comic books were published by Star Comics (an imprint of Marvel Comics), the same publisher who produced the Muppet Babies comic book. Characters from both franchises appeared and interacted together on the covers of Star Comics Magazine, a title dedicated to reprints of previously published stories.
