Maggie Swanson is an illustrator who has worked on a number of Sesame Street titles, as well as books based on Big Bag. She supplied art for the Spanish word pages which were regularly featured in The Sesame Street Treasury, among other items.
Swanson graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and initially worked for Hallmark Cards before embarking on a freelance career. Her other illustrated book credits include installments in Golden Books' Curious Little Kitten series, Bible tales, and Beatrix Potter adaptations.
