Marcel Marceau (1923-2007) was a French actor known under the stage name "Bip the Clown". He became world famous as a mime artist performing on stage and first toured the United States in 1955. Among his film credits were Barbarella (with Jane Fonda) and the Mel Brooks film Silent Movie where he ironically speaks the only line of dialogue in the film, "non."
