Masha is a dog owned by Countess von Dahling. She prompts the Countess whenever her memory fails (typically when she reaches the number 3). Masha debuted in Season 12 of Sesame Street, specifically Episode 1447.

The puppet was recycled and given taxidermist eyes for its appearance in The Muppets Take Manhattan during "Somebody's Getting Married." The puppet appeared as Mickey in Episode 2259, performed by Martin P. Robinson, and was also seen in the Elmo's World episode "Dogs."

Sesamstraat appearances

In Sesamstraat, Masha appeared in the 2009 Christmas special during the song "Stoepkrijt," as the dog who poops on the sidewalk chalk drawing. She also appears as Flip in the Angsthaas and Stuntkip Sketches.
