Matthew Brooks (b. 1965)[1] joined the Jim Henson Company in 1993, working as a puppet builder for the movies Muppet Treasure Island, Elmo in Grouchland, Muppets from Space, and television series including Muppets Tonight, Bear in the Big Blue House, The Animal Show, and The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss (nominated for an Emmy). He was an additional Muppet performer on Muppets Tonight episode 205 and uncredited on Bear in the Big Blue House.
Brooks continued to work with Henson after the sale of the Muppets, on projects like Late Night Liars. He worked as a puppeteer/puppet builder on The Book of Pooh, Crank Yankers and It's a Big, Big World. Brooks has also worked in stop motion animation, as a set dresser and other design capacities for Laika, Inc. on feature films including ParaNorman and The Boxtrolls. He has his own puppet company, Matt Brooks Puppetry.
