"Me Am What Me Am" is a Sesame Street song from Episode 4305. The song is a parody of "I Am What I Am" from the musical, La Cage aux Folles.
Cookie Monster, being labeled as "The Veggie Monster," sings the song to express his feelings; he may like vegetables, but he will always be Cookie Monster.
As shown on the Sesame Family Robinson blog, an alternate version of the song was recorded where Cookie was accompanied by a Muppet pianist and a chorus of singing vegetables.
An abridged version of the song, mixed with "C is for Cookie," was performed in Sesame Street: The Musical.
