Melba T. Burdbrane is a character in the book Special Delivery. She is the president of the Birds of a Feather Company, and flies Prairie Dawn to Pinfeather Falls in her hot air balloon so Prairie Dawn can deliver a package to Bert at the Pigeon Fanciers' Convention.
