Melissa McCarthy (b. 1970) is an actress and comedian well known for her roles on Gilmore Girls, Bridesmaids, and Mike & Molly (opposite Billy Gardell).
She appears in Sesame Street's 43rd season, presenting the word "choreographer" with Elmo and a penguin in a Word of the Day segment. McCarthy stars in the Jim Henson Company film The Happytime Murders.
