  • There are a couple pictures you uploaded that I asked Ken about on his wall. When you have a chance can you look at the conversation and see if you have any information. :) Thanks!!

  • Hey Henrik, you were usually quite active on the Eine Möhre für Zwei episode guide, and did a great job at it! If you happen to have some more time for it in the future, maybe this list will help you out, with press photos and title links readily available. :)

    • Hey Julian I don't really have the time for those guides anymore, it takes me quite a long time to do each guide. But that's a nice list you made.

  • Hello! I saw that you removed Jason Segel from the Creature Shop Movie Actors category because Forgetting Sarah Marshall is "a Creature Shop effect film not a Creature Shop produced movie, therefore no Creature Shop movie actor tag is needed." I don't understand. Eddie Murphy is in the Creature Shop Movie Actors category, and Dr. Dolittle was also a Creature Shop effect film, not a Creature Shop produced movie. And John Goodman is in the category and The Flintstones was also just a Creature Shop effect film.

    • Hi! I responded to this elsewhere, but please see Category talk:Creature Shop Movie Actors. The untagging of Segel and the full guidelines are discussed there. (We'd untagged several other people at the same time, like Mel Brooks).

    • Ok, I understand removing Steve Landesberg and Jason Bateman from the category because they didn't interact with any Creature Shop provided characters. But now I am confused again because Jason Segel and Bill Hader clearly interacted with the puppets. How are they not qualified?

    • Creature Shop Puppeteers works (I'm glad you added it to Hader, that was just an oversight) since really that's what the whole sequence is, they're putting on a puppet show, with the puppeteers visible and the fact that they're puppets made obvious, not interacting with Creatures meant to be actual living characters within the movie. We don't categorize Drew Massey, in the same scene, as a Creature Shop Movies actor either.

  • Why did you delete the Russell Brand page?

      Loading editor
    • Hi! Take a look at Category talk:Creature Shop Movie Actors, which explains Henrik's reverts and deletes. Basically, we don't create a page for an actor in a movie where the Creature Shop only provided effects or puppets for a sequence, especially after the sale of the Muppets to Disney (since that remains our main focus; we had a huge discussion of that awhile back). Russell Brand has no scenes with any of the puppets. We don't create pages for people who produced movies where the Creature Shop provided effects either (as opposed to those actually made by the Henson Company) so Judd Apatow will likely be deleted, unless the audition note can be better sourced and the page expanded. You had no way of knowing, and we appreciate your effort, but basically Forgetting Sarah Marshall is one of those projects where we try to cover the info on one page and actors with no other connection won't get their own page. Adding the credit to other pages, like Steve Landesberg (which I've been needing to beef up and revise anyway; he passed away, and that's not on there) is fine, but not the category.

I know that's all confusing to a first time editor, but I hope it explains things. Thanks, and don't be discouraged!

    • Brand did have scenes with puppets. Russell Brand U

    • Yeah, that was a deleted scene or possibly a deliberate "made for the DVD" extra, we're not sure the Creature Shop made it (though probably), and the picture's on the page. There's just no need to make a solo page for him at this time.

  • Hi Henrik, did you record the Jim Henson Hour when it aired in Denmark? Was it dubbed, or with subtitles? Cheers Boppity Frackle 15:26, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

  • Why did you revert my edit on the Sesam page? What I put was true. Elmo did appear in the Swedish dub, "Sesam",  in the 1996 version. Watch this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg64Cxv1Nrw , as it shows Elmo in Swedish. I undid your revision back to mine.

    • The reason is because there was no name change and the voice is unknown. That chart is only for identified actors or name changes for translation, or both (when there's neither, we leave it out). Many characters appeared who aren't in that list because the info isn't known.

The only way it would work is in a brief text list (not part of a voice cast chart) of other characters. If you know enough to make it interesting, feel free. But as is, it doesn't work in the chart. Also, the link you added was non-existent (that is, there's no Sweden section on International Elmo precisely because there was no name change or known voice performer; the list isn't exhaustive, but meant to track instances where we have specific info, beyond the character appearance).

I went ahead and added a brief note to the top of the page that the 1990s series included newer characters such as Elmo, so for now, without a voice actor identification, that's the best way to handle it. I hope that explains the change (sometimes administrators get into the habit of reverting, when we often have to deal with vandals and such, and forget to explain why when the reason isn't obvious to someone not familiar with our structure or formats, sorry!)

    • Hey BackyardigansKaibigan

My reasons are actually more or less as Andrew says. I did know that there must have been a segment or two that had Elmo in it, so that was not the issue.

  • Hello, H yrtter. I found an unidentified Norwegian intro. I don't recognize seeing this intro before. I got access to the video, and also got my friend from Norway to view this, but the video was left blank. You're from the Scandinavian region, so can you confirm the video is possibly a newer intro? http://www.nrk.no/video/PS*71476

    • I don't seem to be able to play it, I guess it's no longer on the site as I can get other videos to play even those that are Norway only.

  • I'm in the process of uploading Sesamstrasse material (namely the control room sketches and the HD intro/outro). When was the intro and outro switched to what is on KiKA's website: 2008 or 2010?
