Dear Minor muppetz. Hi! I had a question to ask you. I know that Old West Sketches have been mostly edited. Well, with this said, I know that there is Vern Sagely of Readers of the Open Range, Forgetful Jones & Clementine, Rodeo Rosie, Sophie the green Cowgirl Anything Muppet, Billy the Grownup, Willie Crybaby, Bad Bart, Sinister Sam, among several other Cowboys and Cowgirls. Were there any Indian Muppets? I know that there was "Buffy" in earlier Episodes of Sesame Street. However, with this all being said, were there ever any Native American Anything Muppets in any of the Old West Sketches of Sesame Street?
hey Minor you were asking if Stuie was used as a regualr character Not really he was used in the song "fur, he was also seen in the Out Monster disco along with harry &he also appeared in Grover's ABC Disco sketch as well. The very lasttime we saw him was in the sketch "together we make music" w/Garth brooks.
The same can be said for pretty much any episode page I added in 2005 (mostly season 30 shows), when the wiki was starting. The season pages had redlinked lists of episodes with descriptions by them, and I put in info that I remembered with the descriptions. Seeing the pages expanded with the full guides, it turns out they were all the right episodes (though there was one case where it turned out I was wrong about one of the sketches listed).
Well, you told me that Brian Muehl responded in your e-mail that he only remembers one specific scene where he performed Elmo, though was that specific scene from Season 12 or 15? Is it possible to look for that specific scene anywhere on the Internet? I don't know the person who has a clip of Muehl's Elmo and I've never seen it. (All I've ever seen of Elmo in his earliest appearances was with his voice by Jerry Nelson, even in the All By Myself song.)
Do you mean The Paley Center for Media? I'm pretty sure Muppet Wiki has info on every episode that can be viewed there. Don't know what the chances would be of more episodes being added without any of us knowing. Even if one was there, I don't think clips would be put on YouTube just because of that. Oscarfan interns there and has said that employees are not allowed to take programs home with them.
If there actually is a separate place called Museum of Broadcast Comminications Archives, then I don't know.
I just checked Street Gang, page 285, and it says that Brian Meuhl performed Elmo "three or four times". I'm not sure who provided this information to the author (Muehl isn't listed among the sources interviewed for the book).
Whoa. Now I can tell. Thanks for letting me know; I can now consider the clips of Brian Muehl's Elmo being really hard to come across online, and I have only the clips of Elmo's earliest appearances with his voice by Jerry Nelson. The only REAL Season 12 clip of the original Elmo I have was the News Flash segment "The First Day of School," as it states the season it originally came from: News_Flash:_The_First_Day_of_School_(transcript)
And it says that Brian Muehl, Kathy Mullen, Karen Prell and Mike Davis performed the background monsters. I can assume Elmo was performed by Brian Muehl on that one (I read that the character was originally portrayed as one who would communicate with sounds), but I want you to check this clip right here:
In the past year a lot of rare old episodes (particularly from the first, tenth, and twelfth seasons) have mysteriously surfaced (and they all appear to be in great quality). I have no idea how these formerly rare episodes have made it to the fans. I have a feeling that whoever made them available is doing so in secret.
Wow, that's kinda weird how they surfaced online! I have some of these rare clips backed up on my YouTube channel. If any clips of Brian Muehl's Elmo surface, I'm backing them up on my channel as well. Let's message Sesame Maniac if he's got clips from Seasons 12 or 15 if he has clips of Elmo performed by Brian Muehl. Right now I have only clips of Elmo with his voices by Jerry Nelson, Kathy Mullen and Richard Hunt. (If you're wondering where I got Richard's Elmo, it can be found on Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey at the 48-minute mark. I didn't upload Richard's Elmo clip to YouTube because it's blocked, sorry.)
Ya know, while I'm trying not to discuss topics about rare SS inserts on this wiki, I've already messaged several people on YouTube and tried bragging them to upload clips of Near and Far from Season 1 or Muehl's Elmo from Season 12, and of course, they never reply to me. I've logged into Muppet Central Forum, but it won't let me post blogs there because they have age restrictions for users to post there. In any way, can you help post on Muppet Central Forum asking "Does anyone have clips from SS Season 12 where Elmo was voiced by Brian Muehl? BigRedMonster86 said he can't find them online." I have only a picture of the Season 12 Elmo.
Hi, um, according to one of your posts on Muppet Central, I read that this early Sesame Street song (with BDM and Tony), "Windy" was once on YouTube in German. This tells me that these two screenshots of the sketch originally came from a German airing. Was this video on YouTube once or did it get removed now? I don't think I've seen this one...
