  • Hey there... I see you're sort of still active here, so thought I'd try and ask you...

So basically, I've been looking for old Kids' Choice Awards, and have had very good luck with it (some of the ones found I'm amazing/surprised they've been found!) The full shows that are still being search for are 1989, 1991, 1995, and 1996.

A bit of a stretch, but you uploaded this image back in 2007, and from research/KCA info I know, I can tell you that is actually from the 1996 show. Interestingly enough, this Wiki is the only place I've found this image at. I'm a bit curious, do you know where you got that image/screenshot from? If you know where, I would definitely love to know as I would love to possibly get the full 1996 show archived. Thanks in advance!!!

    • This image was on the Kids' Choice Awards website Nick.com put up in 2007, it was part of a retrospective gallery of KCA ceremonies past. Unfortunatlely, this website is long gone and if I remember right, it had a Flash interface which meant I had to screencap it. I've never seen the 1996 KCA online anywhere beyond ehat was on that website. Sorry I can't be that much help otherwise.

  • Hi, John. I really liked your posts as BobthePizzaBoy on Muppet Central. I noticed one of your last posts said the reason you're not there often anymore is because of the site's new setup. Why don't you come back with a new username (possibly the one you use here) and say you're formally BobthePizzaBoy, just like when James Caroll switched from frogboy4 to jvcaroll? I'd like to see you weigh in on Steve Whitmire's dismissal and the two new characters of Sesame Street.

  • Hi! I'm a little confused by your changes to Big Bird, both the wording and it doesn't seem to quite tally with what fellow admin Shane (who's been tracking the HBO) season has been adding to Matt Vogel.

"As of Season 46, Spinney no longer is the puppeteer of Big Bird" seems contradicted by the bit about him still playing Big Bird, just Vogel doing it more. Is there an interview or other source? So far the tracking of Vogel suggests he's really not being used that much more than Spinney.

If you don't have a source, we'll have to remove it. (In fact, on reflection, I've taken it out for now, but if you can source it, we'll put it back in.)

    • Spinney has said himself at several Q&A sessions for I Am Big Bird that he doesn't perform in the bird suit full-time (or for that matter, puppeteer Oscar) anymore. I wish I could have a source that's actually on the internet, but unless there's video of any such Q&A, leave it out for the interim. Maybe someone else can find more info.

    • Thanks for the specifics! At least we know where to look (and part of the concern was the specific phrasing "no longer is the puppeteer," as opposed to "no longer puppeteers full-time.") I know several of our contributors or friends have been to the Q&As and there may be transcripts or such.

    • I've found two videos where Caroll says he doesn't puppeteer fully anymore: the 3:15 mark of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trgjDiT2nn8 and the 8:51 mark of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1QcJDYsI2o. Also Caroll hasn't physically puppeteered for a TV appearance since the Tonight Show in September 2014.

  • Hi, John! I know it's been a few years, but I saw where you added the note that Sony Wonder released 2 Plaza Sesamo videos in the US. One was Exitos Musicales. I found the catalog number for it, but do you remember what the other one was? Thanks!
