  • Hey there .. at first i thought it was photoshoped and a joke as you see many with muppets characters on internet.. but then i came across an article where they explaindthe picture i saw. It is an art piece they layd infront of the exposition entrance. It is about a pinodoll who was hit by a car as protest against the traffichighway through or near nature and kills a lot of animals this way. Here is the link: http://www.at5.nl/artikelen/103232/overreden-pino-voor-ingang-kunst-rai

  • Hi, Paul !

    I'm Ricardo from Brazil.

I'm a big fan of 70's Vila Sésamo and I've been collectiong every mechandise I found about it.

Recently I purchased a Garibaldo figure I never seen before. He is tall (about 50cm), has a body covered by fabric and his feet and beak, in PVC.

Since I do not know his origins, I thought he was Pino...but he isn't....he is indeed Garibaldo !

Do you know other brazilian vintage figures ?

I could seend pictures to you. My e-mail is: ricardo.orleans@globo.com

    Thanks so much

    Best Regards

    Ricardo

  • Do you have any Sesamstraat episodes or video clips from 1977, 1979, and/or 1980? The only voice of Pino I haven't heard yet, is that of Theo Joling from 1977.

  • Hi Paul!

Just wanted to let you know I changed some wording on KunstRAI to preserve a Neutral Point of View. Also, I categorized it in "Miscellaneous Mentions" as it wasn't an official exhibit sanctioned by the character owner.

    Hope you are well!

  • Hi Paul! I have some pics of Sesame plush in Real Madrid uniforms that I think are from 2008. Are these the first series that you mention in Barrio Sésamo plush (Sportswear)?

I also have pictures of a Muppet line in soccer uniforms. Do you know if these were also made by Play By Play, and what year they were made?

      Loading editor
    • yes they all where made by play by play at least until 2010.. after that i dont really know.. But i think they still keep them manufacturing there. Also i tried tomake a better page for all the ones i know of.. still searching for pictures and try to catogorize them. I know they had basketball outfits, soccer outfits and athletic outfits. And from CF Barcelona, CF Valencia, Bilbao, Real Madrid and two others who i dont find anymore online. I hope you can help me manage a good insight on that page :)

  • Hi, I have a mystery on Sesamstrasse (magazine) -- I've been finding different covers that have the same issue numbers. So far I've found two issues each labeled #3, 4, 7 and 11. They all look like they're from roughly the same time. Do you know why that's happening?

      Loading editor
    • Do you have more informatio and maybe fotos? Maybe the year is different, or do they have the same inside but just different covers?

        Loading editor
    • Unfortunately, all I have are pictures of the covers, which I found on Ebay.

In the gallery on Sesamstrasse (magazine)#Regular Issues, I put the issue numbers that I can see in the pictures. The first issue in the gallery says Nr 1/2, and then there are two issues marked Nr 3, Nr 4, Nr 7 and Nr 11.

They all look like they come from around the same time -- maybe 1973 to 1975. Maybe they numbered the first two years by the month? That is -- 1973-3, 1973-4, 1973-5 and then 1974-3, 1974-4, 1974-5?

I might have to buy a few of these to figure this out. :)

        Loading editor
    • ah yeas i think they did. They also did that in Holland the first issues :)

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, I'm doing some more searches, and finding things like 1974/3 ... This looks like a fun long-term research project.

  • It's awesome that you found Hej, to ja! Beata and Hej, to ja! Bazyli -- it's so hard to find merchandise with those characters, hooray!

I don't think we should have pages on each of the translated books in that series, though -- Hej, to ja! Florek etc. Usually we just put translations on the original book's page, and not make a separate page for each one.

I think in this case we should do a page for the series -- the translated ones as well as the Beata and Bazyli ones -- to show that Egmont took the US series and added two more books. But I don't think we should have a page for each of the translations. What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • I doubted that too really. But maybe a combined page for the USA translated version. They all where translated by the writer of the Beata books. It is kind of a matter of picking it up really. I have loads more stuff on the shelves that i want to add all in time when i am able to get to the stuff again. For the moment im in between rebuilding the room i have it. I have lots of vila sesamo and books etc from other shows etc.

ps i also found sesame street live cd's by searching spanish as that seems the second language in use ;) Can you make the combination pages. My english and uniform transcript isnt that good ;)

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, I'll make the combination page. I love seeing all the international stuff you've been adding -- you inspired me to start looking up German and Dutch Sesame books again. :) I'd love to see the Vila Sesamo books, very cool!
