By the way, would you be able to help me with something?
I just uploaded some character models from Muppet Babies, but I'm having a hard time inserting them into a gallery on the Muppet Babies page. I can't seem to find the files, even though I'm seeing them on the Images page.
Those Muppet Babies model sheets are intriguing. It looks like the characters are all at least a little older (especially Animal), but the sheets are labled as "Muppet Babies". I wonder if those might have been model sheets for Muppet Kids.
Thanks, Danny! I saw 'em on the page. When I was trying to create a gallery earlier, I could not seem to get the pictures to load. The thumbnails do not appear when I do a search for images to be inserted from the gallery.
The Waldo image came from the Jim Henson company website back in 1998. They were posting behind-the-scenes information on all the character profiles. I downloaded the "Storyteller characters" file back in 2002 from a news article about a game being developed on the property. There's very little I can remember from the article, but I do recall that they posted 1-2 more concept images.
What a great find! This is one of those projects I wish had actually happened, since StoryTeller lends itself to a classic point and click adventure game (the Storyteller could have been a built in hint system/way to handle inventory examinations and such).
I'm hoping someone can find the other concept art images from the game. I remember seeing close-ups of the demons as well as the playable character... I think it was the Soldier from The Soldier and Death.
I just wanted to check on a picture you uploaded. You uploaded this picture as part of Kermit's time on Turner Classic Movies. Was this an actual image used on the network, or something you created from their logo? :)
Hi, quite a few of the photos you're uploading right now have already been uploaded by other users. If there's a photo that's already uploaded that you want to use on another page, copy the filename instead of uploading it again. Leave a message if you need any help. Thanks!
I was actually going to clarify that; because the new incarnation of Sesame (Philippines) is not affiliated with Sesame Workshop or the Muppets, we really don't need to cover it beyond basically a few sentences (like in the article), which is why I also had to remove the photos you uploaded there. Don't be discouraged though, there's plenty of things you can do here. Check out the Images Wanted page to see what pictures are needed, and I also recommend you to take look at our guidelines. Thanks!
No worries. I do have an odd question though... I know that the current incarnation of Batibot is not affiliated with the Workshop. However I also remember from my childhood that a couple of the current existing characters appeared on the original Batibot incarnation of the show, about the same time that Batibot was still under contract with CTW. I'm pretty sure "Ning Ning and Ging Ging" which are the female Filipino counterparts of "Bert and Ernie" were on the program. Do they exist in some sort of gray area transitional area where they may or may not be considered Muppets? There are a few of these characters. Some of them have very little record online.
Yeah, I wasn't able to find anything. What confuses me a little bit is that although SW isn't involved, the Batibot characters are referred to as "Muppets," or at least in some of the news articles I saw. They don't seem to resemble typical Muppets, so I'm not sure what to make of that.
