Meteora is an imposing action figure toy, and the newest gift in The Christmas Toy. As self-proclaimed Queen of the Asteroids, Meteora is initially unfamiliar with the concept of being a Christmas gift. She briefly menaces the other toys, then Rugby Tiger, Mew, and Apple sing a song praising her in order to get Meteora back in her gift box, and assure her she'll be the star of Christmas when she's opened.

Detail on the marionette "stunt" version of Meteora, used in shots where she flies or soars through the air, were released as part of The Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction. The puppet's upper body was made from a wooden model art maquette, and the swords were made from balsa wood covered with plastic silver-tone tape.
