In a panic, Ernie seeks out Tito and J. P., the Miami Mice, one of whom he quickly learns speaks Spanish. When Tito asks, "Que pasa?" (Spanish for "What's happening?"), Ernie explains his ordeal: he's taken his Rubber Duckie to the repair shop and can't get him back.
The mice take Ernie on a long drive to the repair shop where, upon arrival, Tito uses a megaphone to order that the building's occupants send out the Rubber Duckie unharmed. J.P. points out the sign on the door which Ernie explains is the name of the shop (pronouncing it "ker-ay-doh"). Tito corrects him, clarifying that it reads "cerrado," which means "closed" in Spanish.
Ernie's panic resumes at the idea that the shop may stay closed forever, when a shop employee arrives to open up for business. As the Miami Mice consider the case "cerrado" and leave the scene burning rubber, the woman explains to Ernie that the Rubber Duckie with the broken squeaker won't be ready until Thursday.
