"Monster at the End" is a song from the Sesame Street animated special, The Monster at the End of This Story.
When Grover learns he is the star of his own story, he is delighted, until he learns there will be a monster at the end of it. Despite his fears, he is unable to resist singing an opening number. He sings about the situation he's found himself in and tries to escape, but the live-action hand crafting the story prevents him at every chance. Some chickens and Anything Muppets provide backing vocals.
A triumphant version of the song is performed at the end of the special by Grover and his friends.
