A Mouse is featured in the 2022 animated Sesame Street special, The Nutcracker: Starring Elmo & Tango, based on the Mouse King from the original story of The Nutcracker.
The character is a much gentler interpretation of the Mouse King, with the story taking place in Elmo's dream. Rather than taking the Nutcracker (here, portrayed as a Christmas toy bestowed to Tango by the Count) for his malicious purposes, this version of the mouse simply believes the Nutcracker is a potential new friend. He makes off with the toy, giving him the name "Squeak" (because of the sound it makes), and heads off into a magical land, with Elmo and Tango following.
Eventually, the three meet up and the mouse realizes his friend has been a toy all along. He apologizes for taking it and admits he simply wanted somebody to spend Christmas with. Elmo and Tango offer to be his friends and the three have a good time until Elmo finally awakes from his dream. Once he and Tango leave the room, the mouse is seen dancing on the cover of Elmo's storybook, suggesting his dream may not have been all that unreal.
