"Mozart ABC's" is an operatic variation of "The Alphabet Song," as performed by Judy Collins and Mr. Snuffleupagus in Episode 1051 of Sesame Street. The piece is inspired by the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, particularly the "Papageno-Papagena" duet from The Magic Flute.
The song is performed in a fantasy sequence initiated by Big Bird, believing Snuffy would make for a fine duet partner for Collins. He pictures the two on a stage in full costume performing the song. Snuffy's droning voice is instead replaced with a beautiful tenor. Afterwards, Big Bird realizes such a scenario couldn't occur, citing Snuffy's stage fright.
