Mr. Dressup Holiday Special was a television Christmas special aired on the CBC on December 24, 1997 and repeated on December 25.
Mr. Dressup (Ernie Coombs) returns following the end of his long-running children's series (1967-1996), along with his puppet sidekicks Chester (Karen Valleau) and Truffles (Nina Keogh). The special was shot on-location at an empty floor of Princess Margaret Hospital, doubling as Sick Kids Hospital.
Rob Mills produced the special, co-writing it with Robin White. Guests on the program include Basil (performed by Bob Stutt) from Sesame Park, Loonette (Alyson Court) from The Big Comfy Couch, and Albert Schultz as Doctor Casey.
The broadcast also includes the Muppet special Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.
