Mr. Mole appears in the Elmo the Musical segment, "Mountain Climber the Musical."
Elmo tries to imagine a mountain, but instead spawns a small pile of dirt. Mr. Mole emerges from it to correct him, "Hey! That's not a mountain, that's a molehill." Elmo concedes, "Oops! We made a mountain out of a molehill." Responding to Elmo's apology, the mole says he can "dig it."
Mr. Mole accompanies Elmo to the base of his newly imagined Mount Biggest Everest where they, along with a couple of mountain goats sing "Climbin' Up the Mountain." Before parting ways, the mole warns Elmo about a yeti that lives at the top of the mountain. Mr. Mole returns for the musical's finale.
