Mr. Piffle is Danvers' teacher at Coldrain Middle School in the Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet books. He teaches a variety of topics, ranging from history to architecture. Mr. Piffle particularly appreciates Button Hauser's work.
In contrast to Coach Kraft, Mr. Piffle is a nonchalant instructor who puts up with Danvers' constant reports on Gonzo and other antics. After Danvers makes a mess trying to balance a basket of eggs on his chin, Mr. Piffle punishes him by making him sit through class with egg on his face — literally. At the end of the first book, he's one of the many attendees of the Fall on Ice Festival.
