Mr. Willowby is the titular character of the 1995 special Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.
He is the eccentric owner of Willowby Manor, and peppers his speech with very portmanteau-esque terminology, such as referring to his perfect Christmas tree as an "arboretum arborvitae." The special partially centers on the preparation of his annual Christmas party. In his employ are butler Baxter and maid Miss Adelaide.
His appearance in the special contrasts with the illustrations of the 1963 book it was adapted from, where Mr. Willowby is portrayed as a balding, mustachioed man in his golden years.
