Mrs. Bear is a younger version of Fozzie's Ma, as seen in the Muppet Kids books. Mrs. Bear is a working mother who lives with her husband and her two sons, Fozzie and Freddie.
In the book Mom Gets a Job, Fozzie adjusts to changes at home when his mom starts working for the law firm of Bear, Bear, Bear, and Bryant, Attorneys to the Stars. In Mom's Having a Baby Fozzie once again has to adjust to changes at home when his mom announces that she's having a baby. Later, in Fozzie's Big Worry, Fozzie fears that a minor argument at home could lead to his parents getting a divorce.
A nuturing and supportive mother, she serves breakfast, lends a sympathetic ear, and pours her son a comforting glass of milk in I'm Mad at You!. She serves Fozzie a plate of carrots and celery in Fozzie's Last Lap. In Fozzie Bear, Star Helper, Fozzie notices that his mom seems a little grumpy since returning to work after having her second child.
