Mrs. Bush’s Story Time is a radio program that ran from 1990 to 1994, co-produced by Children's Literacy Initiative and ABC Radio. The program was hosted by First Lady Barbara Bush, reading children's stories with various special guests (both fictional and real).
Characters from Sesame Street were guests on the program during its run, including Elmo (reading The Adventures of Frog and Toad), Big Bird (reading Arthur Meets the President), Count von Count (reading Strega Nona), Grover (reading Doctor De Soto), and Oscar the Grouch (reading Gregory, the Terrible Eater).
Kermit the Frog[1] and Miss Piggy (on December 20, 1992)[2][3] were also guests on the show, with Jim Lewis and Craig Shemin contributing scripts for their appearances.[4]
