Ms. Betancourt is Elmo's preschool teacher, as seen in the Sesame Street resource video, Little Children, Big Challenges.
She aids Elmo in coming up with a strategy to play with his fellow classmates, who are in the middle of a game of "Action Heroes." She helps Elmo find a new way of playing the game so he can be included.
She is named after Dr. Jeanette Betancourt, Senior Vice President, Community and Family Engagement, at Sesame Workshop.
