Ms. Ling is a violinist, and one half of a musical duo of The Ding-a-Lings, who were supposed to perform a concert at The Furchester Hotel in the episode "Peckity Woodpecker."
Ms. Ling appears on time with her violin, but Mr. Ding doesn't show up, leaving his glockenspiel with no player. Phoebe attempts to play but remembers another guest, Elwood's, need to peck and suggests he accompany her on glockenspiel, and they pull off the concert without a hitch.
