"Muck and Goo" is a childhood counting nonsense song with sentimental meaning for both Gobo Fraggle and Junior Gorg. In the Fraggle Rock episode "The Garden Plot," Red sings it to Gobo, sparking a flashback of Uncle Traveling Matt singing it to him, and for Junior, of Pa Gorg crooning it while holding him as an infant.
A portion of the song is reprised in "The Day the Music Died," with one slight change to the lyrics. The song was later sung in the animated series episode "Laundry Never Lies," where the lyrics are altered to be about cleaning clothes.
