Productions[]
- The dubbing of Die Muppet Show was recorded in Munich (studio Beta-Technik), and likewise the show's record album, and Muppet Babies. Later dubs, such as Muppets Tonight and Der Bรคr im grossen blauen Haus (Bear in the Big Blue House) were often overseen by the Munich branch of dubbing studio FFS Film- & Fernseh-Synchron GmbH. Jim Hensons beste Geschichten (The StoryTeller) and Abby's fliegende Feenschule (Abby's Flying Fairy School) were also dubbed in Munich.
- Die Fraggles was dubbed in Munich, but also used the Munich based studio facilities of Fernsehstudio Mรผnchen Atelierbetriebs GmbH (FSM), a ZDF subsidiary, for Doc's Workshop. Exteriors for the postcards were filmed in and around Munich and Bavaria.
- EM.TV, which purchased The Jim Henson Company and its assets in 2000, was based in Germany. This led to a joke during The Muppet Show Live, with Miss Piggy complaining to Kermit that "You sell the company and all I get is a T-shirt that says 'Somebody in Munich Loves Me.'"
