Muppet Matinee was the umbrella title for a Saturday block of Muppet specials shown on Nickelodeon from 1993-1995. Originally, this block was two hours long, but eventually, it was reduced to an hour. New bumpers were produced of a pig cleaning a sign featuring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Gonzo, and clips from the various specials were shown.
The first broadcast of Muppet Matinee featured The Tale of the Bunny Picnic and The Muppets Go to the Movies.
In addition to specials, episodes of Muppet Babies were occasionally shown.
