In television, scenes are often cut, shortened, or unrealized prior to episodes airing. Muppets Tonight was no exception, with many scenes written and even filmed but dropped from the final edit of the episodes.

Episode 101: Michelle Pfeiffer
During Gonzo's talks about the schedule, when he points out that right now the station is broadcasting "TBA," Kermit questions who allowed this to happen. Gonzo claims the responsibility was on Bunsen and Beaker, who claim it was actually the Swedish Chef, who then indicates Animal, who is decked out in "TBA" gear.[1] Sam the Eagle also appears in the meeting, but never seen in the finished episode. | ||

Carl then downs a bucket of water, which begins spurting from various holes in his body.[4] The scene was used in the American version, but cut from the international edits.
