Muppets who grow eyelids

This is a list of instances in which eyelids can be seen on the eyes of Muppets who don't normally have them, or they've been extended for those that do. This is usually done to create the appearance of sleep, when the simpler method of turning the character's eyes from the camera won't work for the scene. Some Muppets, like the early Big Bird, have closeable eyelids built in.

1/8	Baby Bear	Episode 3534, when Ruthie takes a photo of Baby Bear and his family just as he's blinking; In Do the Alphabet Baby Bear falls asleep and dreams about the segment: Alphabet Jungle; Episode 3807, after Elmo tries to wake him up with drums and when Alan sings him to sleep; Episode 3836, exhausted from cooking the huevos rancheros for Maria; Episode 3925, exhausted from learning to whistle; Episode 3977, after singing a lullaby to Big Bird; Episode 3998, feeling tired and having no energy from skipping breakfast; Episode 4056, after a night of no sleep; Episode 4191, hibernating.
1/2	Beaker	The "Flowers on the Wall" music video, falling asleep among debris after an explosion in his apartment; The Muppets episode "Pig Out," hung over.
	Benny Rabbit	In Episode 3466, after carrying up the Count's heavy suitcases into The Furry Arms Hotel, becoming exhausted.
	Bert	A sketch with Ernie; Episode 4276, when he and Ernie fall asleep.
	Bill the Bubble Guy	In episode 107, Bill is in a coma in the Muppets Tonight sketch, While You Were Slapping.
	Camilla the Chicken	After Martin Price tries to evade the cops in The Muppets Take Manhattan with Camilla and Gonzo as hostage, Gonzo performs mouth-to-beak resuscitation on Camilla.
	The Cat in the Hat	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss Theme, opening the door for Yertle the Turtle to fall into a puddle and avoiding two Wickershams swinging into each other.

1/3	Cookie Monster	Purple eyelids in Big Bird's Mother Goose and as Monster Gaga in Cookie Monster Auditions for Saturday Night Live. Blue eyelids on Sesamstrasse (Folge 2789).
	Constantine	When he falls out of the 'O' during a Muppet Show performance in Muppets Most Wanted.
	The Countess	The Count's Storybook Theatre, The Count counts Countesses' snores.
	Elizabeth	At a sleepover in Episode 3857 with Zoe and Rosita.
1/20	Elmo	Elmo has static purple eyelids with brown eyelashes; as seen in Episodes 2694, 2824, 2855, 3090, 3663, 3731, 3820, 3853, 3977, 4022, 4063, 4117 (as Jelmo), 4308, 4713, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Elmo Saves Christmas, Kids' Favorite Songs, Time to Say Goodnight, Happy Healthy Monsters, Bedtime with Elmo, assorted Elmo Variants, Sesame Beginnings as a baby, The Furchester Hotel episode "The Furchester Hoot-El", and an Elmo and Abby Cadabby insert.
1/2	Elmo	An Elmo puppet with moving eyelids has been utilized beginning with Season 49; as seen in When You Wish Upon a Pickle, Episode 4907, and The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo.
	Emily Bear	At the end of The Muppet Show episode 216.
1/3	Ernie	The second part of a two-part sketch where The Count sleeps over and keeps Ernie up all night (in addition to heavy bags under his eyes); Episode 3913 and Episode 4276, when he falls asleep at the end of both episodes; in a promotional photo used on an ad for "Nap Time" videos at Sesamestreet.org.
	Ernestine	Ernestine falls asleep as Gina and Big Bird go through Ernie and Bert's photo album in The Best of Ernie and Bert.

	Funella Furchester	Funella attempts to stay awake to greet Mr. Screech in The Furchester Hotel episode "The Furchester Hoot-El," however sleep gets the better of her.
	Furgus Fuzz	Furgus attempts to stay awake to greet Mr. Screech in The Furchester Hotel episode "The Furchester Hoot-El," however he succumbs to sleep.
	Gabriel	"Honest Lullaby" in episode 503 of The Muppet Show.
1/2	Gonzo	Muppets from Space, where his standard moving eyelids are extended in a scene to cover his entire eyeballs, and a lower eyelid is added (and for a brief scene, his upper eyelids cover his eyes, but open halfway twice); The Muppets, while sleeping in the rafters of The Muppet Theatre directly above the stage.
	Grandpa Jacob	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Talkin' with the Cat," while sleeping.
	The Grinch	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap," when sleeping.
	Grouches	A group of grouches receive some extra eyelids in a scene from "The Adventures of Trash Gordon."

	Grundgetta	Grungetta plays the role of Sleeping Grouchy in Episode 4143.
	Harvey P. Dull	Harvey attempts to stay awake to meet Mr. Screech in The Furchester Hotel episode "the Furchester Hoot-el," however he drifts off to dreamland.
	Henrietta Honker	Big Bird helps the baby Honker get to sleep in Bedtime Stories & Songs.
	Hero	Hero, Bollywood movie star from India's Galli Galli Sim Sim in one of his movie roles.

	Kermit the Frog	When he turns into a "Mr. Hyde" variant in episode 420 of The Muppet Show.

	Mokey Fraggle	Mokey's usual moving eyelids are extended to provide static lids covering her entire eyes while she meditates in "A Cave of One's Own."
	Monster Clubhouse Monsters	Googel, Narf and Phoebe have eyelids during brief naptimes.
	Morton the Elephant Bird	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Horton Has a Hit," when sleeping in two scenes.

	Dr. Nobel Price	In Episode 2282, Dr. Nobel Price is testing a machine he just invented: a "wake-up" machine.
1/2	Pepe the King Prawn	As Toto in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, when he's affected by the poppies; The Muppets episode "Pig Out," singing with Rizzo at Rowlf's Tavern, and the following day at the crew meeting, being hungover.
	Prairie Dawn	The Letter of the Day Games for the letters D, P, and Y.

	Sleeping Beauty	This News Flash sketch shows the contrast between building eyelids for a puppet (Sleeping Beauty) and turning the eyes of another puppet (Prince Charming) away from the camera.
	Sleeping Beauty	Although she's only so far been used as a one-shot character in this form, Sleeping Beauty's eyelids are replaced with lids that cover her entire eyes at the end of her "Healthy Storybook Moments" sketch.

	Statler	After an accident on The Muppets episode "Pig Out," Statler is left hospitalized with added, reddened lower lids.
	Telly	Episode 4118, after becoming exasperated with Oscar; in a brief scene from Talk, Listen, Connect, in which Telly's moving eyelids are replaced with lids that cover his entire eyes.
	Terrence McBird	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap," when sleeping.
	Thidwick the Moose	The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Halfway Home to Malamaroo," making fuel for Alvin's spaceship; depressed when he couldn't make everyone's birthday come true in "The Birthday Moose."
	T.R.	In one scene, T.R. has one sleepy eye and one excited eye. This enables him to change emotions without the use of an eyelid mechanism, simply by turning his head.

	Waldorf	Mostly asleep in "Des O'Connor Entertains"
	Walter	Two variations are seen on Walter in The Muppets. One with sleepy eyes as he's falling asleep watching The Muppet Show, and another with completely closed eyelids after he's fallen asleep and he drifts off into a dream.
	Wembley Fraggle	"The Day the Music Died" and various episodes from season 3 onwards: "Pebble Pox Blues", "Gobo's School for Explorers", "The River of Life" and "Gone, But Not Forgotten." Usually, this would be if Wembley is either sleeping, waking up or not well.
	The World's Oldest Fraggle	In "The Day the Music Died," The World's Oldest Fraggle was seen sleeping in his cave.
	The Wickershams	Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss "Horton Has a Hit," affected by Horton's lullaby
	Yertle the Turtle	Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, "Horton Has a Hit," sent to sleep by Horton's lullaby.
1/2	Zoe	At the end of Episode 3650; Episode 3857, sleeping with Rosita and Elizabeth; Happy Healthy Monsters, while relaxing; at the end of the "Moonshine" song when she goes to sleep; near the end of a Play with Me Sesame sketch where she takes a nap after listening to a lullaby.
	Zoe as the Dormouse	In a fit of laughter, Zoe's eyelids are brought up from the bottom of her eye to meet her top eyelid in Abby in Wonderland.
