My Favorite Martian is a 1999 film comedy based on the eponymous 1960s sitcom (with original star Ray Walston in a large cameo).
The animatronic Martian effects were designed and created by Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, Jr. (The X-Files). When their names are repeated later in the credit crawl for Martian creature design, Jim Henson's Creature Shop joins them. The actual animatronics were primarily handled by Gillis and Woodruff's firm Amalgamated Dynamics, with other special effects houses contributing digital effects.
