Myrna Matthews is a singer who has worked mainly as a backup or session vocalist. She was heard on the 1979 Sesame Street album Dinah! I've Got a Song and on the 1993 album Muppet Beach Party (credited as one of the Lobsterettes).

Matthews has sung backup on recordings by many leading performers including Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Helen Reddy, Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, The Captain and Tenille, Jose Feliciano, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross, and Harry Connick, Jr..

In film and television, she sang backing vocals on the Grease soundtrack and as one of the alien trio Space Angels on the Battlestar Galactica episode "Saga of a Star World," both 1978. She was later heard in the choruses of The Lion King (on "Circle of Life") and Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas.
