Vincent Twice introduces the latest installment of "The Casebook of Sherlock Hemlock," as the world's greatest detective has been pursuing a mysterious shape. Now within the stone walls of Blandings Castle, Sherlock and his companion Watson are looking for a shape which matches a circle. Sherlock stresses that they must find it before the grandfather clock strikes 5 pm.
Watson doggedly keeps trying to draw his master's attention to the clock. Sherlock, however, investigates a closet (containing a triangle, which he rightly concludes is a red herring). The tapestry holds a rectangle and the table is a square. Just as time runs out, so has Watson's patience, and he grabs the circle and matches it to the clock face. Naturally, Sherlock Hemlock claims it was just as he suspected: "It was elementary, Watson, elementary." Now they're off to 5 o'clock tea.
