Sesame Street Nathan Lane Sings "Sing"

Nathan Lane (b. 1956) is an award winning stage and film actor.

His Broadway credits include the plays Lips Together, Teeth Apart, The Odd Couple, and Love! Valour! Compassion!, and the musicals A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Addams Family and The Producers, for which he earned his second Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. His film credits include The Lion King (as the voice of Timon) and The Birdcage.

Lane also performed the voice for Snowbell the cat in Stuart Little and its sequel Stuart Little 2 (the latter included effects by Jim Henson's Creature Shop). And in 2005, he appeared alongside goose-stepping pigeons also created by the Creature Shop in the film version of The Producers, for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.

On Sesame Street, Lane performed "Sing" with the Oinker Sisters (First: Episode 3830), parts of which were included in the celebrity version of the song on Episode 3851. Lane also played the number 2 in a PBS interstitial promoting the 29th season of the show.

In 2008, Lane appeared with the Muppets in A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa, playing Officer Meany, a bitter airport security guard.

Guest appearances include 30 Rock, Absolutely Fabulous, Sex and the City, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Mad About You, Frasier, Miami Vice, and hosting Saturday Night Live.
