The National Association of Broadcasters is a trade association and lobby group founded in 1922 representing the interests of radio and television broadcasters in the United States.
On May 13, 2020, Jim Henson was posthumously recognized with a Distinguished Service Award by NAB president Gordon H. Smith. During the eight hour broadcast of the show (held virtually), Smith was interrupted by Kermit the Frog who spoke about his relationship with Henson. Brian Henson and Lisa Henson also appeared to discuss their father's legacy, and a clip montage was shown from Sam and Friends. (video)
