
Naughty Marietta is an operetta which premiered in 1910, including on Broadway. The story follows the romance between the title character and a pirate. The operetta was filmed in 1935, marking the first pairing of Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald. The operetta introduced "Ah! Sweet Mystery of Life" which became a popular standard, as well as "Italian Street Song."
