Neera is the high priestan of Acquara, as seen in the Farscape episode "Jeremiah Crichton." The mother of Rokon, Neera abused her position and schemed to increase her authority. She manipulates her son's jealousy against John Crichton. She has also used a distorted version of the sacred text, the Timbala, to raise the Hynerians to deity status.
When Hynerian Rygel arrives in person, Neera first tries to use him as well, but then denounces him as a false god when he reveals what he's learned. With the help of Crichton and D'Argo, however, the truth is revealed and Neera is deposed.
